It’s Tuuuuuuuesday! And I am posting a blog post. Hooray, for our new blogging scheduling! This weekend was SO much fun. If you missed it, Jack and I got engaged on December 16th! With us traveling and the craziness of the holidays, we decided to hold off on our engagement party until February! Well, this past Friday, we finally celebrated and it was a blast. My parents threw us the best party. I totally forgot to take a picture of the Chipotle catering, but it was too good. They provide literally everything for you! At first, we were a little worried about not having enough, but we even had leftovers! Chipotle is our favorite place, so it was so unique to have it at our party.
Besides celebrating our engagement, we wanted our party to be about the people most important to us and our relationship. We also decided to ask our wedding party all at once at the party too! So, it was a pretty eventful night full of love and tears {obviously from me lol}.
Since our wedding is obviously a huge apart of my life, I want to make sure to share it with you as much as possible. I have a plan on sharing ‘our story’ soon, so that will come! I will try to share a couple of things before we get married, however most of my sharing will be after because then I will have all of the information for you!
As for our wedding party, we decided to go with four people for each of us. I always thought I wanted to go with six, however we decided to only chose our closest friends. In ten years, when our kiddos look at our wedding pictures, we want them to actually know the people in our wedding. We truly have a solid core of friends and I am so thankful for them. Some we have known our entire lives, others just a couple of years, but each person means the world to us and we couldn’t imagine our big day without them by our side.
With that, I wanted to share how I proposed to my maids with y’all! Jack purchased a nice bottle of Jack Daniels for each of his men.
For my gals, I knew I wanted to purchase the bridal Alex and Ani bracelets! Between you and me ;).. I actually purchased these awhile ago during a sale because I knew I wanted to gift them. Think smarter, not harder people! You can find the bridesmaid bracelet, here! The front says sister of my heart and the back says bridesmaid. For my sisters, she received the maid of honor bracelet. Hers says my noble woman on the front and maid of honor on the back! You can find it here!
With the bracelets, I also included a bath bomb, an initial coffee mug, and body spray! I purchased these mugs at Target, however I do not think they carry them anymore {couldn’t find them online}. Click here for a similar one! You can find a bath bomb pretty much everywhere now, but here is a good one too!
Finally, the boxes!! These were probably the hardest part because I did not know how I wanted to do them. I have a Silhouette Cameo, so I created the cards for each lady and the names on the top of their boxes. The boxes are actually photo boxes from Michaels! Make sure to check with an employee if you cannot find enough of one color, they store a lot of them on the top shelves. When creating my girls gift, I wanted to make sure they could use every part of it, so I knew the boxes had to be cute too! (: To finish off the boxes, I put tissue paper on the bottom and finished it with crinkle cut. I am not sure why, but I just love the look of crinkle cut in gifts, lol!
For our decorations, my mom had the great idea to print off pictures of us throughout our relationship! We created popcorn gift bags, since he “popped” the question, and purchased balloons that matched our wedding colors! I also found the number and letter balloons in the target dollar spot. The numbers were $1 each and the ‘cheers’ was $3 for the pack! The string was not included with the numbers so make sure to have that!
I am so excited to share our big day with you!
xxoo,
nicole
