Hey guys!! A few weeks ago, my mama and sister threw me the best bridal shower. Since traveling is so close to my heart, and now Jackson’s, we thought it would be the perfect theme for our shower! And let me tell ya, it definitely was! Today is just going to be a few pictures about my shower, but I will be sharing a few tips and tricks to creating the perfect shower in the future!
Okay, let’s pause for a minute.. as I was putting together this post, it finally hit me that I will never have another bridal shower. Like what? For years, I have been attending all of my friends wedding events and have been dreaming of this moment forrrrrrever. I just can’t believe that my shower is over and each day, we are getting closer to the wedding! Eek!
Bridal Shower
We decided to have my shower at one of my church’s social halls. It worked out perfectly and it was helpful to have the kitchen space! As guests arrived, they filled out an envelope for their thank yous (praise be because that helps!) and found a seat. At each seat was a vintage postcard and they all wrote date night ideas for Jack and I. We are so excited to do these date nights – so many unique ideas too!
After the guest filled out their postcard, they placed it in my great grandmas suitcase and headed to grab some food from around the world! This was SO much fun to do. My mom thought of different foods from around the world, and added a place card with the country it came from by each one – even one treat from home! My grandmas taco salad was definitely the favorite. I wasn’t able to eat any of it with my gallbladder issue, but she promised to make me some once I recover! 🙂
Once we all had our yummy treats, we played two games and then played bingo when I opened gifts! Opening gifts for me, or any bride, is obviously exciting… for the guests, ehh.. not so much. I love when people play bingo during the gift opening because it allows your guests to have something to do, and then they pay attention too! lol!
Overall, my shower was absolutely fabulous. I am so thankful for my mama for all of her hard work! She created the perfect day for me.
For my something old, my sister gave me a piece of her dress to sew into mine. We might of cried… just a little.
See you real soon!
